In Jolly Auld England, things are about to get jollier…or, at least, gayer. The Mail Online reports:
Reforms to allow same-sex marriage will see the words husband and wife removed from official forms, it was revealed last night. Tax and benefits guidance and immigration documents must be rewritten so they no longer assume a married couple is a man and a woman. And private companies will be told to overhaul paperwork and computer databases containing the words.
The proposals have triggered a furious row, with the Church of England accusing the Coalition of misunderstanding the law of marriage. But Equalities Minister Lynne Featherstone warned religious leaders not to ‘fan the flames of homophobia’ with ‘inflammatory’ language.
What, perchance, are the official duties of a government “Equalities Minister”—other than blathering colorfully about the “flames of homophobia” and ensuring that “husbands” and “wives” (“inflammatory” words that have no place in the…

“You know we’re going to control the insurance companies.” —Joe Biden
Well, Joe, take one of these and call me in the morning:
We believe that the doctors who actually care for America’s patients have valuable insight and wisdom to share. We have waited too long for a national voice to inform the average American citizen about the hazards of the new health care law and to lead the way with reform.
Half truths and misleading statements disparaging physicians and our American health care system have been made. The PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) has been promoted as the solution for reform. However, it is a politically driven government takeover of our healthcare, passed by overt bribery and coercion. American Doctors For Truth
Barack Obama says he is prouder of signing into law the healthcare legislation euphemistically called “Obamacare” than he is of finally disposing of…

No, I am not talking about secession. I’m talking about red states taking back their state’s rights as the constitution, the law of the land, provides. If there is one thing conservatives and libertarians agree on, it is the constitution should be followed to the letter.
Okay, how do we get where we want to go? It is argued, and rightly so, that it took the usurpers over a hundred years to bring about this unconstitutional monstrosity in Washington and it will take many years to undo it. We have to live with that fact. But, do we seriously belive we will get by years of tryint to educate the brain-dead american voter? It’s not going to happen. Do we seriously believe that we can eventually fill the House, the Senate and the executive branch with conservatives and keep them in place fo many years and that they will undo the source of…

It can’t happen here? It already has, babe. When the Director of the FBI has to check with his boss to find out whether or not it’s okay to order a hit on a citizen of the United States in the United States, it’s already happened.
FBI Director Robert Mueller on Wednesday said he would have to go back and check with the Department of Justice whether Attorney General Eric Holder’s “three criteria” for the targeted killing of Americans also applied to Americans inside the U.S.
…Holder argued in his remarks that it is “simply not accurate” that the president must get permission from a federal court before taking action against a United States citizen terrorist.
“Due process and judicial process are not one and the same, particularly when it comes to national security. The Constitution guarantees due process, not judicial process,” he said.
But Jonathan Turley, a law professor…

“Food is the next front in the left-wing war on the private sector.” —Rush Limbaugh
It’s the real goal of Obama’s so-called ‘Healthy Foods Initiative,’ and the only wonder is what took our domestic enemies so long to start replacing fork and knife with hammer and sickle. After all, whosoever controls our daily bread, controls us—lock, stock, and large intestine. Ask any Ukrainian.
The ultimate liberal goal is not a fair distribution of fresh food. The market distributes goods according to supply and demand and manufacturers distribute their products according to demand. The intent is to take away our freedoms. Food is now a variable of class struggle and a form of discrimination because “the poor and downtrodden are getting junk food while the snobs get fancy food.”
According to food police at school, your mom does not know what…

Liberals, progressives, socialists, statists, communists — all enemies of civilization argue all issues on the basis of moral relativism, one odious derivation of which is multiculturalism. There are many arguments for why such principles are wrong. But perhaps the most obvious problem with moral relativism and its counterparts is that from which moral relativism springs: the idea that there is no objective truth.
If there is no objective truth as the Sophists argue, then how can the statement that there is no objective truth be true? If nothing is true, then how can the assumption be made that it is true that there is no such thing that is truly inherently good or inherently bad, or that it is true that there is no culture that is truly better than any other culture? To argue in favor of moral relativism or multiculturalism requires a belief that there is objective truth…
